Mercer rising senior Geneis Crimé was recently offered early admission into the Teach For America (TFA) corps and will serve as the University’s first-ever TFA Ambassador during the upcoming academic year.

Congratulations to our department’s award recipients for this year! They were recognized at the Honors Convocation last Friday.

- Alexis Stewart was awarded Alpha Kappa Delta Senior Award for Academic Achievement in Sociology.
- Latsami Sysouvanh was awarded Alpha Kappa Delta Junior Award for Academic Achievement Award in Sociology
- Audean Gilpin was awarded Alpha Phi Sigma Senior Award for Academic Achievement in Criminal Justice
- Cecilia Stewart was awarded Alpha Phi Sigma Junior Award for Academic Achievement Award in Criminal Justice
- Kate Lemon and Caleb Winters were independently awarded William Fielding Ogburn Award for Excellence in Sociological Research for their honors research projects.
