Howard Temin Lakeshore Path parkrun is a free 5K run/walk every Saturday at 9am on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison.

We meet at the north end of Park Street, but inside the Memorial Union in winter. Pre-run briefing begins at 8:45.

A picture of a healthier, happier planet!

Let's do it again this Saturday for the 269th time -- same as usual: Meet at the end of (600) N Park St, Madison near the UW Memorial Union and (parking) Helen C White Library. We'll brief in time to walk to the starting line by 9am. At the moment, it looks like 65 degrees with any rain will be done long before we arrive -- but we'll report the latest course conditions right before setting out. Anyone able to check out the course for us that morning?

We have a couple more positions to fill -- so please consider stepping up. As of Thursday evening, that would include be a timekeeper and tailwalker. Happy 1M Saturday, parkrunners!

We had 44 out on the course today enjoying the sun and breezes for this special weekend. It's fun to imagine that when Dom this morning said, "Three, two one, parkrun!" that it might have been exactly the one millionth time in history. Or maybe the 999,999th? Or the 1,000,001st? Anyhow, we're as happy as ever that everyone came out today.

Along with Dom as timekeeper, he and Antonio checked the course for us. Anne and Kevin marshaled and caught some boathouse pics, Sam tailwalked, Laurel tracked the tokens, and Rich directed.

Let's do it again next week!

Grab a vest, the weekend is coming!

HTLP parkrun rolls right along, but it can take a bit more effort to fill the volunteer roster in summer travel season. If you might be able to help in the coming weeks, please comment, direct message or email. We'll get you pointed in the right direction and provide the vest.

As for this weekend - it'll be event #268 and you won't even need the stocking cap. Based on the current forecast, we'll be long gone - coffee included - before any significant precip. Just come on down to the end of (600) N Park St, Madison and find us overlooking the lake. Parking is available via two entrances below the Helen C White library. We'll brief in time to step off for the start at 9am.

Back to volunteering -- plenty of opportunities this Saturday -- course-checker, marshal and tailwaker. We'd love to have you!

Nice job by our 41 finishers today in the summer sun.

We so enjoy seeing everybody -- regulars, visitors, first-timers -- all of which we had today!

And volunteers who step up to make each week happen -- today Stuart checking the course, Yohan as timekeeper, Kevin (including pics at the far end) and Laurel as marshals, Greg and Alissa passing tokens, Anne tallwalking and Rich directing. Friends -- HTLP parkrun #267 is just a couple days away!

And how does sunny and 72 degrees sound? We'd love to have you. Runners, walkers, anything in between, volunteers -- everyone is welcome.

Usual time and place: End of (600) N Park St, Madison, right at Lake Mendota with parking at the Helen C White Library. We'll brief just in time to head to the starting line at 9am.

The volunteer roster is shaping up, but we can always use your help. Please comment or message if you might be able to work a spot. If you're new, we're happy to show you.

Hi friends! A beautiful morning for HTLP parkrun #266 today! We had ~90 participants, and lots of friends and family who were supporting the kids from LetMeRun (https://letmerun.org). They all seemed to have a great time and were successful. Oh, and Jason hit 50 events this week -- great job!

To help with the large influx of people, we had a great extra boost of volunteer support today: Rich & Laurel & Anne as marshals, Sam as TW, Eli scanning, Kurt sorting tokens, Ethan giving out tokens, Yohan managing the funnel, and Shelby kept time.

Hi friends -- HTLP parkrun #266 is happening on Saturday morning. Will you be joining us? We will be there! I think we have a couple of groups coming out to complete their end-of-program 5k event! Let's cheer them on with a big turnout!

As usual, we will meet at the north end of park st., this is between the Helen C White library and the memorial union. We will meet at 8:50am so we can have announcements and head to the start by 9am.

We are in luck this week though! We have people to marshal the boathouse and the turnaround and we have a tail walker. We also have someone on tokens and a couple extra helpers for the finish. So, that is great news!!

What a nice morning for HTLP parkrun #265! We had 50 people complete the course today and a few dogs too! It was great to see some kids out this week, as we expect many more next week when the Let Me Run groups come.

HI friends -- who is looking forward to HTLP parkrun #265 on Saturday, May 23rd? I know we are! It looks like we should have some nice run/walking weather on Saturday morning. We hope you will join us!

As usual, we will meet at the picnic benches at the north end of Park st. This is right between the Helen C White library and the Memorial Union. Look for our sign! We will meet at 8:50am, have announcements, and head to the start by 9am.

We are also in need of some volunteers this weekend. If you would like to be a tail walker, turnaround marshal, or boathouse marshal, please let me know! It is a great way to engage with the parkrun community when you need a day off, maybe are recovering from an injury, or just plain want to volunteer.

Hi friends - we had 43 people (and a few dogs) join us on this beautiful May morning for HTLP parkrun #264! We had a few hiccups with the tokens in the teens, so sorry if we made a mistake. We did what we could to rectify it. Also, I didn't get a barcode for the token person or our parkwalker. If I could get those, it would be appreciated and you can get parkrun official volunteer credit. Please feel free to send us a message.

Also, we lost both tokens 8 and 36. If anyone has them, please bring them back next week!

On another note, Lisbet hit #100 events and Stuart hit #100 volunteers! Great job team!
