Our Tri Kappa - Madison were out for the 2026 Egg-stravaganza 🐰 deliveries yesterday!! They delivered over 75 dozen candy filled eggs in Jefferson County!! THANK YOU to everyone that supported this fundraiser - it is one of our favorite!! Plus every single $ goes to scholarships & grants to support the Jefferson County community ❤️

Tri Kappa - Madison accepting applications for our 2026 Local Community Grant Cycle. The mission of Tri Kappa Sorority is to promote Charity, Culture, and Education, and this year we have $2,500 available to support projects in our local community that align with this mission.

𝑬𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚
Organizations located in and serving residents of Jefferson County, Indiana, are eligible to apply for grants ranging from $100 to $2,500. Preference will be given to nonprofit organizations. Funds must be used before the end of 2026.

𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔
Grants are intended to support specific projects or needs related to Charity, Culture, or Education.
The request should address concrete goals. Examples of past recipients include: a computer kiosk at the Jefferson County Public Library, Southwestern French Club field trip to the Art Institute in Chicago, conference fees for Big Brothers/Big Sisters staff to attend child safety training, summer enrichment programming for kids at the Jefferson County Youth Shelter, and a special needs accessible swing for Hargan-Matthews Park.

Organizations receiving funds may be invited to share the results of their project at a future Tri Kappa meeting or host a short visit so members can learn more about the organization’s work.

While Tri Kappa- State (Official) is celebrating it 125th anniversary, locally we are celebrating our 105th anniversary 🖤🗝️🤍 The 14 philanthropic minded women, created the bedrock that has become 𝐓𝐫𝐢 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐚 - 𝐁𝐞𝐭𝐚 𝐎𝐦𝐞𝐠𝐚 (𝐌𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧). On March 26, 1921, found new patrons in the form of Tri Kappa Sisters… philanthropy in Jefferson County, Indiana has not looked the same since. Then in the fall of 1950, Tri Kappa - Madison created the 1st home tour for Madison, Indiana: the Tri Kappa Tour of Homes in Historic Madison, IN 🤍🗝️🖤

We got our ✨𝒍𝒊𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝒔𝒘𝒂𝒈✨ on at our October Tri Kappa Madison monthly meeting at our Historic Madison Public Library 📚

Fun Facts about the Jefferson County Public Library - Madison and Hanover:
📚The Library doesn’t charge late fees, they only accept donations!
📚The Madison Library was the Powell House before it opened as a library in 1930!
📚The Madison Society Library opened in 1818 as a Subscription Library, making Madison’s Library system one of the oldest in the state!
