We are proud to share that four of our DSU students, working with Dr. Mark Spanier and Dr. Jared Roundy, demonstrated AI capabilities in the Capitol Complex in Washington, D.C. The DSU team presented technology to combat the dangers of deep fakes in real time. The presentations were organized by the Center for AI Policy.

Dakota State University had an impressive showing at the IEEE CARS 2024 Conference at University of North Dakota this week. Ten of our students presented papers, showcasing DSU’s dedication to innovation in technology and research! Special congratulations to cyber defense doctoral student Ryan Holeman, along with Dr. John Hastings and Dr. Varghese Mathew Vaidyan, who won a Top Research Paper Award for their work in SETC: A Vulnerability Telemetry Collection Framework. Their dedication is making a remarkable impact in the field. Cheers to the entire DSU team! 🏆

Fall enrollment numbers are in, and they are looking good! DSU's numbers are up in almost every category, including headcount. There are 3,774 students attending DSU this fall, continuing a trend of enrollment gains over the last 25 years!

Our Graduate School guidance enrollment counselors attended the 11th Annual SD EPSCoR Research Symposium in Sioux Falls, SD. This annual event provided students the experience of participating in a real scientific meeting that included a poster session, professional development, and numerous opportunities for networking. The symposium also promoted South Dakota’s graduate programs and STEM employment opportunities.
