One of Hillel’s stated goals is to inspire a renaissance of Jewish life, and we aim to do so in a variety of ways (while having a lot of fun). In addition to sharing Shabbat services and dinner as often as possible and celebrating the Jewish holidays, we run a variety of cultural and educational programs at Drew. Highlights for this Fall semester include our “Pink Shabbos” Breast Cancer Awareness

with Sharsheret and New Orleans Funky Football Party working to benefit Jewish Children’s Regional Services of New Orleans as the Jewish community there recovers from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The Spring semester brings our annual Rockin’ Purim Jam and our flagship, “Passport to Diaspora: Cultural Heritage Fair”, which brings music, art and scholars to campus and includes our Cunab Relief Effort. Finally, a cornerstone of Hillel at Drew University is the Pincus Lecture, an annual event supported the Pincus Fund gifted by Irwin Nat and Marjorie M.
