Come join us at the Truax Campus on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 11 out on the plaza. Together, we’ll be planting flags in honor of the 9/11 memorial.

Our deadline to run in the election is coming up this Sunday! We're looking for students to serve in a variety of officer roles, Senators to represent all students, and Senators to represent specific campuses.

Don't wait to get your application in!

Looking for a way to have your voice heard, want to be involved in college matters that impact thousands, and want the opportunity to work on important issues?

Join the Madison College Student Senate for the 2023-2024 school year and become involved in a variety of College and internal committees, policy decisions, and working with the Wisconsin Student Government.

All positions are paid leadership roles, with hourly pay for the President ($15/hour) and stipends for all other positions ($700-$900/semester).

Are you looking for leadership opportunities to build skills, meet other students, connect with the community, and strengthen your resume or transfer application? Become a student leader on the Volunteer Center board!

We are hiring for several student leadership positions for the 2022-23 academic year:
Executive Director ($750 per semester)
WolfPack Volunteers Coordinator ($675 per semester)
Volunteer Opportunities Coordinator for the Truax Campus ($600 per semester)
Office Manager ($400 per semester)

Through these paid student leadership opportunities, you will plan and coordinate volunteer programming for students and carry out the mission of the Volunteer Center. Positions require a time commitment between 5 - 10 hours per week.

Our Story

The Student Senate represents all Madison College students enrolled at the Madison campuses (Commercial Avenue, Downtown, South, Truax & West) and at the regional campuses (Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg & Watertown). The Student Senate was established in 1961 and represents 15,000 students on 9 campuses in the 12 county district of Madison College. The Student Senate works collaboratively with student and college administrators to create positive changes at Madison College. Student senators advocated for the on-campus health clinic, campus to campus shuttle service (est. 2010), the Metro Bus Ridership Program (est. 2000), Full-Rental Textbook Program, on campus food pantry, and more. Current initiatives in the Student Senate include spreading awareness for student hunger and homelessness and improving advising.
