Our Story
The Student Senate represents all Madison College students enrolled at the Madison campuses (Commercial Avenue, Downtown, South, Truax & West) and at the regional campuses (Fort Atkinson, Portage, Reedsburg & Watertown).
The Student Senate was established in 1961 and represents 15,000 students on 9 campuses in the 12 county district of Madison College. The Student Senate works collaboratively with student and college administrators to create positive changes at Madison College.
Student senators advocated for the on-campus health clinic, campus to campus shuttle service (est. 2010), the Metro Bus Ridership Program (est. 2000), Full-Rental Textbook Program, on campus food pantry, and more. Current initiatives in the Student Senate include spreading awareness for student hunger and homelessness and improving advising.
If you are interested in becoming involved, have questions or concerns the Student Senate office is located at B1260H. Or email [email protected]. Meetings take place on Thursdays at 4:30pm.
