CFP: How Medical Humanities is Building Bridges to the Future of Medicine
Papers on the topic of the influence of Medical Humanities on the current and changing state of medicine from various areas of study, including bioethics, literature, sociology, anthropology, public health, history, and medical education, are invited to be considered for Drew University’s Transatlantic Connections 3 Conference, an interdisciplinary conference with a dedicated track for Medical Humanities. The three-day conference will take place in Bundoran, Ireland January 13-16, 2016. We are especially interested in submissions for sessions on medical narrative, mental health and trauma, public policy and mental health, ethics, and the ethics of human-subject research.
Proposals submitted by graduate students, scholars, faculty, and researchers for presentations, performances, and exhibits are welcome and must be received no later than November 6, 2015. The use of multimedia for presentations is encouraged. Proposals must not exceed 350 words, plus a short presenter bio. All presenters must register as conference presenters and pay registration fee.
