Beginning this spring, campus’s anti-spam/anti-virus software will transition from Sophos PureMessage for UNIX to Proofpoint. This software provides important functions that strengthen university cybersecurity and protection, scanning all incoming and outgoing email to detect spam or phishing attempts and viruses. Sophos PureMessage will retire July 20, 2023.

No one likes an inbox full of spam messages. Learn more about an upcoming change to the university’s anti-spam/anti-virus software.

Qualtrics has modernized the user experience to be easier and more intuitive to use, introducing consistent interactions, in addition to changes in web accessibility so all users can collaborate. These changes are scheduled to start rolling out to UW-Madison accounts late January 2023.

You’re about to meet with a colleague but you’re not quite sure how to pronounce their name. You’ve heard them say it before, but you can’t remember if the vowel is an ah-sound or more of an ay. You want to be respectful and say it correctly. You could ask them to repeat it, again.

Or better yet, what if you could go to their email signature and listen to them say it themselves?

Record the proper pronunciation of your name using NameCoach, and post it to your online profiles and email signature. Originally integrated only with Canvas, we've now expanded the service so you can use it more broadly.
