Day of the Badger is here! Please join us in celebrating our community through the power of collective giving. Together, we will spark energy and excitement with hands-on learning and professional development opportunities for students and upgrades to labs in Engineering Hall!

If we receive 50 gifts of $50 or more during Day of the Badger, Kate Martin, BSCEE '77, will donate an extra $1,000. Thank you, Kate!

This week is extra special--it's Graduate Student Appreciation Week!

Over 130 graduate students bring diverse talent and perspectives from around the world to our department and the Badger engineering community. We're grateful for their contributions on campus, online, and everywhere in between, and we are honored to be a part of their story.

Among the many grad students making their mark on campus are the members of our Graduate Student Council. Their efforts have led to new events and initiatives, including the first annual CEE Department Graduate Student Awards. Photos and details of the event will be shared in early May, so stay tuned!

Civil, environmental, and geological engineering students connected with practicing engineers during our 5th annual Mentor Night event last week.

Discussions ranged from tips for academic and career success to how different engineering focus areas help shape the world around us through projects of all sizes. The night flew by and many new connections were built.

Networking events like this are often something students haven't experienced before, so we honored their willingness to try something new with exclusive merch that was well-received.

Thank you to the mentors and students that made this event possible. We enjoyed bringing the Badger community together and look forward to doing it again next year!
