I received this beautiful publication yesterday. My residency was in May 2019. I am grateful to the Lucuid Art Foundation for its generosity and incredible spirit, kindness, and opportunity granted to me and other artists who have worked in this amazing place.

“Here to There,” an exhibit of photographic images captured on road trips to Eastern SD by photographer, Howard M. Christopherson. Christopherson says, “I didn’t set out with a plan to make these photographs in and around Lily specifically, but I found myself inspired by the moment, guided by my interactions with the people and landscapes that compelled me to compose the images.”

Our next exhibition is recent work by L.A painter Larry Caveny. We will host the exhibition through February 2016. The exhibition is a series of Superheroes reimagined. The un stretched canvas conveys a "raw" quality to the image, which is inherent in the gestural and expressionist approach to these Iconic figures. Superheroes and a couple of rock stars...will rock our winter blues!

We would love to see you see the work by Michelle Johnson.

Into the Dark Art Exhibition at the Madison Area Arts Council Brickhouse Thursday April 10th.

Dear DSU:

Chris Francis, President of MAAC (Madison Area Arts Council) is bringing "Into the Dark" to the MAAC exhibition space the "Brickhouse" thursday April 10th. Our current FB&T artist Gina Gibson is part of the ITD show too. Let's pack the Brickhouse with students and colleagues thursday eve and pack the FB&T Gallery Wednesday eve for Gina's SKYPE reception. We do art right here in Madison! I think this is an incredible opportunity to expose our students to contemporary work from around the state in two evenings. So a great continuing partnership between MAAC and DSU!
