This piece features our current communications director Chumani. Give it a read if you haven't already!
Chumani Mokoena (pictured middle), who is from South Africa, wanted to pursue an engineering education in the U.S., and UW-Madison’s highly ranked nuclear engineering program stood out.
His dream was made possible by the King-Morgridge Scholars Program, a competitive international scholarship program that supports exceptionally driven incoming students, dedicated to poverty alleviation in their home countries.
Mokoena, now a junior in the UW-Madison Department of Engineering Physics, is active in the American Nuclear Society’s student chapter at UW-Madison. https://www.engr.wisc.edu/south-africa-wisconsin-engineering-future-nuclear-energy/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=COE_MKT&utm_content=EP
