One hour left! Will you help support our program? Gifts support students like Emily, who shared:

“I came to UW-Madison as a pre-nursing major and added CLS after I heard others talking about Rachelle, the CLS advisor. She definitely helped me a lot because I was in a lot of stress my first semester and just coming to talk with her was like a lift off my shoulders. Now I see how compatible nursing and Chicanx/e and Latinx/e Studies are because now I know foundational history I didn’t before.”

There are just 3 hours left of the 2026 Day of the Badger! Can you help spread the word?

“Studying Chicanx/e Latinx/e Studies has informed all other areas of my education: I’m a Psychology, CLS, Spanish, and Latin American, Caribbean, and Iberian Studies major. I feel my CLS major makes me think about theories of psychology and the cognitive psychology of a culture.”
—Valerey Aguirre

“I’m most interested in the historical aspect of my Chicanx/e and Latinx/e studies. Last semester, I created a semester-long project on bilingual education in the city where I grew up. I feel it’s important to document and preserve the most granular bits of history.” —Alonso Avella Sanchez

It’s the second day of UW’s spring fundraising event, Day of the Badger! Consider supporting our work and our brilliant students through the link in our bio!
