Starting next week (Tuesday, February 9), the chess club will be moving to Engineering Hall 2341. This change means we'll have more time and more playing space each week. We're looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Congratulations to Benedict Smail and Nolan Hendrickson on their shared first place at the Wisconsin Memorial this weekend! In a small increase over last year's turnout, 59 players showed up to compete.

The UW-Madison team went up against the much higher-rated University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign this weekend in the . We've scored 1.5 points in the four games that have been played so far. (Special congratulations to 1877-rated Peter Nasuti on his draw against NM Michael Auger!) Can Derek Sachs pull off an upset win against NM Iskandar Aripov (2337) later this week to level the match?
