Delta Delta Delta at UW-Madison

Delta Delta Delta at UW-Madison Welcome to Delta Delta Delta - Mu Chapter at the University of Wisconsin-Madison! One of the most important things to a Tri Delta is our dedication to St.

Delta Delta Delta is an international women’s fraternity that engages its members for life through timeless values, enduring friendships and innovative opportunities for growth. With over 200,000 initiates and 138 chapters, Tri Delta is one of the world’s largest NPC sororities. Delta Delta Delta - Mu Chapter has maintained a strong presence on the UW-Madison campus for 115 years. Delta Delta Delt

a provides a loving and energetic environment for women to grow and succeed with each other during their collegiate career. We encourage our members to take advantage of all the opportunities Tri Delta and UW-Madison have to offer. As dedicated students, the women of Tri Delta pride themselves in finding the right balance between our extracurricular activities and academics. Tri Deltas are extremely involved in the Greek Community and enjoy taking part in events such as Homecoming, Humorology, and Greek Week as well as supporting other chapters on campus. The women of Delta Delta Delta also take part in an array of academic, professional, and athletic organizations. Members hold leadership positions not only within our chapter and the Greek community, but in various student organizations as well. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 1999, Delta Delta Delta Fraternity officially adopted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as its philanthropic partner. In July 2006, Tri Delta made a commitment to raise $10 million in 10 years. Because of the unwavering efforts of all its members, Tri Delta announced in May 2010, just nearly four years later, Tri Delta met the $10 million fundraising goal. In July 2010, Tri Delta announced it would take on a new, more aggressive challenge – to raise $15 million in 5 years. To date, Tri Delta members have raised more than $21 million for the kids at St. Jude and nearly $10 million of the $15 million goal. No other Greek organization has had this level of commitment to a charitable partner, and few are raising a comparable amount of money. One common attribute all the women of Tri Delta share is a genuine and sincere abiding friendship with one another. Tri Deltas love to have fun together. Every year we plan sisterhoods, formals, and themed social events. All of this and more makes Tri Delta sisterhood an important part of the collegiate experience. The bond of friendship and loyalty between the sisters of Delta Delta Delta is something we will all treasure now and for the rest of our lives.

Happy from our Director of Lifetime Membership

“Everyone goes to college wanting to find friends who match their energy, kindness, and interests. Above all, they want to find friends that understand them like no-one else. Tridelt is unlike anything I ever imagined because of this. What I find so special is the loyalty and genuine care every single member has for each other. I never thought that I’d have such a large group of sisters who have my back no matter how close we are. It’s the people in Tridelt that make it so special! I can’t imagine what my college experience would be like without them!”

As pride month comes to a close we wanted to feature two of our members, best friends Molly and Reagan, who attended NYC Pride last week. We love them both so much and are so lucky to have them as our sisters!

Molly: “Throughout my time at Wisconsin I have personally felt empowered by my identity and community through tridelt. I feel fortunate enough to say this chapter has made me feel welcomed and comfortable with my sexuality. I went to an all girls Catholic school and came to terms with my sexuality by the time I was a sophomore. No one was homophobic to your face, but it was the subtle comments throughout the halls that made staying in the closet real easy. I have never felt this way about tridelt and love how everyone is apologetically themselves :) I’m thankful to be in tridelt and even more thankful for all the other lgbtq+ people in this chapter. You are all amazing never drop this 👑”

Reagan: “With the ending of pride month, I think it’s important to note that with the celebration of the community and the progress that has been made in society, that it’s still a month for remembrance that everyone has the right to be happy, love who they want, and that there is still change to be made regardless of June being over. Being part of Tri Delta has been a really awesome experience for me being a member of the q***r community. Everyone has always been super supportive and never made me feel uncomfortable or unwanted in any sense. I feel very proud to be surrounded by a strong group of women who are unapologetically themselves and who have positively affected my life. Y’all rock thanks for all you guys do!🫶🏻”

The Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade last week has stirred up a lot of emotions and concerns for the women in our chapter and others across the country. The Tri Delta Mu chapter prides itself on being a community of brave, bold, and kind women. Because of this, we support and empower our sisters and others across the country as they advocate for women’s rights, bodily autonomy, and access to safe healthcare. As a sorority built around the ideals of truth, self sacrifice, and friendship, we also want to show our support for the variety of people and marginalized communities in the United States that are directly affected by this decision during this tumultuous time. We encourage our sisters to continue to take action and speak out against injustices in our world. We have put together some resources to support our sisters and others during this time, including a link to voter registration, please check the link in our bio if interested and please reach out for any further support, questions, or concerns.
