Hello everyone,

The 2020 AMS T-shirt sales are finally up and running! In a change from last year, we've set up a storefront through the Underground Printing right here in Madison. Linked below is the storefront, where you can purchase our merch and have it delivered to your front door. Orders start today and must be in by midnight on 11/29/20. The shirts will be shipped by 12/14/20 and hopefully will arrive just before Christmas (they make excellent gifts, after all).

Hello AMS members,

In light of the recent protests happening around the country, our local student chapter of the American Meteorological society has decided to partner with the Wisconsin Black Initiative Fund alongside 40+ student organizations on campus. In doing so, we hope to be a part in helping make our campus safer and more equitable for black students.

As part of this partnership, we are passing along a GoFundMe created by the Wisconsin Black Initiative Fund. Stated on the GoFundMe page, funds "will go towards the UW-Madison Black Cultural Center, community, and national organizations such as Color of Change. This is subject to change based on the WBIF Board‘s decision that will factor in an organization’s financial need. Updates will be provided as decisions are made." As of this writing, they have met their $10,000 goal and now are looking to meet $20,000.

We stand with making UW-Madison a safe, inclusive, and equitable place for all students. If you can, spread the word to other organizations, friends, and family.

Hey AMS: Merchandise orders can be picked up now through 3 PM in Room 823. In addition, we have plenty of extra stickers for sale for $5 a piece. Bagels and cream cheese are also available for students. Come stop by!
