2026 SWST International Convention: our Co-Hosts

The joint SWST–KSWST International Convention will take place June 7–12, 2026, at COEX, Seoul, Republic of Korea.

We are pleased to introduce our co-hosts:

The National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS)

is the cornerstone of Korea’s forest science and wood research. Under the leadership of President Dr. Yongkwan Kim, NIFoS has evolved from its origins as the Forestry Experiment Station into the essential foundation of Korea’s forest research and policy. Its mission, to view forests and wood as integrated scientific systems, aligns closely with the academic goals of SWST. By bridging laboratory breakthroughs with global sustainability challenges, NIFoS provides an ideal platform for expanding Korea’s research into impactful international dialogue.

Korean Society of Wood Science and Technology (KSWST)

has long served as the central hub for wood science in Korea. Through its extensive academic network, research initiatives, and its flagship publication, the Journal of the Korean Wood Science and Technology, KSWST fosters rigorous scientific exchange. Under the leadership of President Dr. Hwanmyeong Yeo, Professor at Seoul National University and an expert in wood physics and drying, KSWST continues to connect Korea’s scholarly heritage with the global wood science community. Hosting the 2026 SWST Convention marks an important milestone in sharing domestic innovation with the world.

🧠 Join the global wood science community to exchange knowledge, share innovation, and shape the future of sustainable wood-based solutions.
