It's officially November! That means it is time to check out our October RA and Programmer of the Month!

Programmer of the Month- Meghan Donohue- Meghan has shown her strength in programming this past month! A nominator writes “she combines quality planning with exemplary ex*****on to create programs that are well attended and enriching for residents. Her programs are diverse in content and always have a positive response by residents”. Some programs Meghan has done this month include a faculty collaboration for the Spanish Mass and pumpkin decorating, but has also been busy prepping for an upcoming November green, late-night program. Meghan “spends time working on handmade posters and ads, as well as puts them in thoughtful locations across her area. Meghan’s programs are thoughtful from start to finish and provide residents with a great time.” Way to go Meghan!

RA of the Month- Matt Panneton- Matt earns RA of the Month for October! A nominator wrote “Matt has shown his passion and superb work ethic since the beginning of the semester. Matt has done an outstanding job this past month serving his residents through a variety of programs and helping the senior residents become better connected to one another and to the overall FBC community. Matt’s enthusiasm for being an RA and for being a student leader on this campus is infectious.” Matt excels in various aspects of the RA position and “fully understands the importance of serving his residents, being a role model for others, and working hard to achieve all of his goals and fulfill his responsibilities.” Well deserved, Matt!

Our RA staff has been very busy since the start of the academic year! We want to take a second to highlight some of the amazing work they are doing, in particular our August/September RA and Programmer of the Month!

Kelsey Kurtz- Programmer of the Month:
Kelsey has had a busy month of programming! Hosting three unique programs this month, one nominator wrote “Kelsey understands the purpose and importance of programming in the residence halls and puts maximum effort into planning and executing her programs”. In regards to a reusable straw program she hosted this month, another nominator added, “It was a wonderful testament to creating a program that’s applicable campus wide and providing an educational opportunity for students to learn about a timely issue.” Well done Kelsey!

Kate McSherry - RA of the Month:
Kate has been hard at work in the Hilary, Bertrand, Brady and Falvey area and has “exemplified everything an RA of the month should be.” From programming to duty, Kate has gone above and beyond her role in a unique area on campus. A nominator wrote. "Kate has acted as a mentor for first year staff members, making them feel comfortable in their new position.” Congratulations Kate!

Over the past week our Resident Assistants have been hard at work, training for the upcoming year! We are so excited to welcome the class of 2022 to campus tomorrow as well as the upperclass students on Sunday!
