"Go Write Your Book!"

Write the book you've always dreamed of writing as you earn your MFA in Fiction or Nonfiction at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Our two-year low residency writing program allows you to write at home and be part of an inspiring community of driven students and published faculty mentors. With on-site summer and winter residencies hosted at the Mountain View Grand Resort and Spa in Whitefi

eld, New Hampshire (a location and atmosphere conducive to the creative process), students can focus on fiction (including adult and young adult) or nonfiction (including environmental writing and memoir). Our vibrant creative writing program guides our students in discovering their unique stories and rhythms as writers, while teaching them a command of the craft. Students graduate with a book-length manuscript of publishable quality, a network of agents and editors, college-teaching opportunities, and a lifetime writing community.
