Internship tip: Don’t wait until the end of your experience to ask for feedback.
Checking in with your supervisor during your internship can help you understand what you’re doing well, where you can keep growing and how you can make an even stronger impact before your last day.
Try asking questions like:
“What is one thing I’m doing well?”
“Is there anything I could improve on?”
“Are there any skills I should continue building?”
“How can I be more helpful to the team?”
Asking for feedback shows initiative, professionalism and a willingness to learn. These qualities can help you stand out in the workplace. It can also give you helpful language to use later when updating your resume, preparing for interviews or reflecting on your career goals.
Wherever you are in your internship experience, remember: growth happens when you stay curious, open and ready to learn.
