Imagine driving past a beautiful field of Kansas wheat and seeing YOUR entry on the field sign! Who has the winning idea this year?

For the third year in a row, the Kansas Wheat Alliance is looking for creative names for Kansas State’s next great wheat varieties. Whether you’re a student, a producer, or just a fan of Kansas agriculture, we want to hear from you!

The Details:

👥 Open to individuals, FFA chapters, and 4-H clubs.
⏰ Entries are due by May 1, 2026.

Family, let's all wish former Head Football Coach Bill Snyder a HUGE HAPPY WILDCAT 85th BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

We’ve listed his career accomplishments while at Kansas State. Hopefully I didn't forget any (I didn't include the individual Bowl Games):

Overall record: Finished his career at 215-117-1

Bowl Games: 9-10

Championships:

2 Big 12 (2003, 2012)

4 Big 12 North Division (1998–2000, 2003)

Awards:

3x Big Eight Conference Coach of the Year (1990, 1991, 1993)

4x Big 12 Coach of the Year (1998, 2002, 2011, 2012)

Paul "Bear" Bryant Award (1998)

Walter Camp Coach of the Year (1998)

AP Coach of the Year (1998)

2x Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award (1998, 2012)

KS Territory is a high yielding wheat variety well adapted for the drought conditions in the central high plains, specifically west of Highway 183. It carries the Wsm2 gene for wheat streak mosaic resistance and also has intermediate resistance to Triticum mosaic virus.
