Fact Sheet 23 - Evolving Kansas Farmer Cooperative Landscape: Update to Grain Storage Map
https://accc.k-state.edu/research/fact_sheet_series.html

The Kansas farmer cooperative landscape has changed significantly over time. Since 2016, the Arthur Capper Cooperative Center (ACCC) has periodically surveyed Kansas farmer cooperative leaders to identify grain storage locations and capacities. In 2025, the ACCC conducted an updated survey to refresh its online interactive map of farmer cooperatives operating in Kansas. Today, 54 cooperatives are headquartered in the state. A fact sheet was developed to report the results of the 2025 survey and compare them with findings from earlier surveys conducted in 2016 and 2021. Together, these results provide a valuable look at the evolution of cooperative grain storage over time. The fact sheet also includes a series of maps illustrating changes in the Kansas farmer cooperative landscape from 2016 to 2026 and as shown below.
