We are proud of our Kansas State University Dairy Products Judging Team for an outstanding performance at the 2026 National Collegiate Dairy Products Evaluation Contest:

3rd place overall as a team

1st in Milk
2nd in Butter
3rd in Ice Cream
4th in Cheddar cheese
5th in yogurt
6th in Cottage cheese

A special congratulations to our undergraduate students: Nathan Chavez, Nolan Messmore, Seb Figueroa Villanueva, Kevin Sanford, and graduate student Omar Abdelsater.

The team was coached by Ahmed Hammam, K-State assistant professor in dairy foods processing, and assistant coach Jared Parsons.

Thanks, Hilmar Cheese Company, Inc., for visiting our department and meeting with our students from K-State Department of Animal Sciences & Industry and Food Science Institute at Kansas State University at Kansas State University to discuss opportunities and share insights about the company portfolio.

We appreciate Antonio Delgadillo and Jenifer Phipps for delivering an engaging presentation and taking the time to connect with our students.

We truly value opportunities that connect our students with industry leaders and help prepare them for successful careers in the dairy and food industry.
