Keep up with current events, activities, and meetings in the Office of Asian American Affairs, DEI division, and MNSU, Mankato. The Office of Asian American Affairs:
- Advocates and promotes the representation of Asian American students at Minnesota State University, Mankato and in higher education.

- Supports cultural diversity through learning, celebrating, promoting and sharing Asian American

cultures with Minnesota State University, Mankato and surrounding communities.

- Supports the educational success of Asian American students.

- Developing and empowering future Asian American leaders.

Congratulations to all our graduates this year! We at Asian American Affairs wish you nothing but the very best in your future endeavors.

As we close out the year, we want to give a special shoutout to our GA Lylah, for graduating this spring with her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling.

We’re also excited to welcome Lily as our new GA for Asian American Affairs as she is pursuing an MBA at Mankato.

If you're attending graduation stop by our table to purchase flowers for your grads as well. Proceeds goes towards our Asian American organizations and scholarship fund. Once again, congratulations to all graduating this weekend.

Congratulations to our Director, Hmong Student Association, and students for being recipients for some of the awards given at the MAASU Gala tonight! ✨️

Our current Director, Ben Thao, was nominated for the Outstanding APIDA Advisor Award. Through his leadership skills in working with our students on campus, Ben is a great support in helping our students grow, gain leadership skills, and advocate for their needs.

Gaochiashe Lee was awarded the Charles Chang Leadership Award for her outstanding dedication in her role as President of our Hmong Student Association. She possesses quality leadership skills, and commitment across all aspects of being a student.

Jason Thao was given an award for being a founding leader of the APIDA Leader Institute, centered on creating a community-centered leadership style within MAASU and the greater APIDA community.

And finally, our Hmong Student Association was given the Board of Advisors Award! The BOA Award is an award that recognizes Asian Pacific Islander American student organizations that have accomplished greatness on their campus and in the Midwest community.

We are so proud of everyone who was nominated and received an award tonight!
