And that's a wrap! Kentucky Lake, you tested us, but we persevered! Pre-fishing was tough, but in the end, it didn't matter when your main motor decided to "blow up" the morning before the tournament. Collin and Sander were determined to capitalize on the #5 boat draw and fish anyhow. With only a Minn Kota trolling motor. They got it done on day #1, coming in with 19.2 #. Going into day #2 in 12th place, we worked hard behind the scenes to locate and secure a backup boat. Day #2 we were boat #212 but had a great plan in place. They fished hard and brought in their limit of 5 fish for 14 #, bringing the total weight to 33.2 #. Sander and Collin secured the top 14% with 31st place out of 216 teams. Kentucky Lake, you tested our patience, our tenacity, and our will to not quit. At this point, there is NOTHING we can't handle.
Maverick Nation, give a huge shutout to Sander and Collin for sharing this journey and reminding all of us to CHASE OUR DREAMS AND NEVER QUIT! Congratulations, gentleman!
The next stop on the Bassmaster College Series will be in Saginaw Bay, MI, on June 6-7th.
