Bethany Lutheran College Fine Arts

Bethany Lutheran College Fine Arts All about Art, Music, and Theatre at Bethany Lutheran College. The fine arts play a significant role at Bethany Lutheran College.

Either as a major field of study or as a co-curricular activity, a large percentage of the Bethany student body is active in the various art forms represented on campus. Ranging from the Concert Choir to Theatre Physics, there is plenty of opportunity to go around.

Last evening, the Music Department kicked off a year of musical offerings by hosting a Faculty Studio Recital. Private voice instructor, Natalie Wishcop opened the recital with a stirring solo followed by instrumental and piano performances by Benjamin Faugstad, Mark Wamma, Matthew Sulzle, Tom Bierer, Evan Bierer, and Andrew Westberg. The box office is open to purchase tickets for the fall one-act play, Carpe Dentum. Written and directed by senior Natalie Hennig, Carpe Dentum is an oultandish murder mystery comedy set in 1927 (a nod to Bethany's founding year!) Carpe Dentum follows the zany "Detective Centennial" as he tries to find the culprit of a murder that took place at Sharpe Family Dentistry and Hair Salon. Hilarious twists and turns are bound to ensue! Seize the day (or the teeth?) and bring your family and friends to see Carpe Dentum on the campus green under the tent during Fall Festival weekend! $5 General Admission tickets can be purchased by visiting the box office link in the comments or by stopping by or calling (507-344-7374) the box office desk in the YFAC between 1-4, Monday- Friday. Don't miss the show, September 25-27.
