Mark your calendars for the first exhibition of spring semester at the Pearl Conard Art Gallery
OMID SHERKARI
NOT TOO FAR AWAY
The Pearl Conard Gallery at Ohio State Mansfield is proud to present Not too far away, an exhibition by artist Omid Sherkari. As a young Iranian artist who has closely lived through recent events in the Middle East, Shekari states that, “My work has been focusing toward representing people’s relationships and reactions to events. Instead of being specific, I try to make some stories, which globally talk about these feelings that repeat during the human history.” Shekari received his MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, Philadelphia (2016), and his BFA from Soore University, Tehran, Iran (2011).
Not too far away will run Tuesday, January 17 – Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Pearl Conard Art Gallery (Room 145 Ovalwood Hall, 1760 University Drive, Mansfield, OH 44906). The Gallery will host a catered closing reception and meet the artist event on Thursday, February 9 from 12:35 – 1:30 pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
