Attention students, faculty, staff, and community members!

North Hall Library will be closed Sunday, September 6th, and Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. Please see to anything you may need from the library before we close on Friday (4 pm), or wait until we open again on Tuesday, September 8th.

On Tuesday, September 8th, we will resume business as usual, and be open for our normal Fall Semester hours!

This week we’re back with Silent Book Club!📔🔕

Join us in the Traditional Reading Room on Wednesday, September 2nd, from 4 pm to 5 pm. Bring any book you’d like, but we encourage you to bring a book that you’ve desperately wanted to talk about! We’ll start with 45 minutes of silent reading, and end with 15 minutes of open discussion. We hope to see you there!

Fall is the best time to craft! 🍁🍂🍄

Join us on Wednesday, September 2nd, 12 pm to 1 pm, for North Hall Library’s first Fall Crafternoon. Our inaugural theme is BYOC (bring your own craft). You are encouraged to bring whatever craft you’re currently working on. Maybe there’s a new project, and you’re looking for a sign to get started. Whatever it is, bring it down for an afternoon of collaborative work! Feel free to also bring your own lunch/snack.

Fall Crafternoons will occur every other Wednesday from 12 pm to 1 pm, until November 18th. Each week will have a new theme. Stay tuned to find out what the theme will be for Wednesday, September 16th!

Here’s a hint; all the materials you’ll need can be found at the library.

Pardon the noise, but we’re still open for business! 🚧📚

Don't let the construction dust fool you— North Hall Library is open during our normal operating hours.

The main front entrance remains fully open and accessible.

All regular services, study spaces, and book pickups are available as usual.

Thank you to everyone who came to our Silent Book Club today! The next North Hall Library event is our monthly Game Night, happening tomorrow, Thursday, August 27th, from 6 pm to 8 pm. Come join us in the Traditional Reading Room for board games, card games, snacks, and door prizes!

Game Night will occur monthly for the rest of the semester, on the last Thursday of each month (except November, when it will fall on the 19th to accommodate Thanksgiving Break).

Let us know in the comments if there’s a board game you’d like to see!

Come on down to the Traditional Reading Room today, from 4-5, to participate in a Silent Book Club! You're welcome to bring any book (and a friend!) that you'd like to read independently for 45 minutes. Afterwards, the floor will be open for 15 minutes of discussion about whatever you've read.

If you can't make it today, don't sweat! Silent Book Club will occur every Wednesday during the Fall Semester. We hope to see you there!

In anticipation of classes starting tomorrow, we at North Hall Library would like to welcome students to the 2026 Fall Semester! Beginning tomorrow, Monday, August 24th, North Hall library will be open to students, faculty, staff, and community members for the following hours; Monday through Thursday 8 am to 9 pm, Friday 8 am to 4 pm, and Sunday 5 pm to 9 pm. The library will be closed on Saturdays

We encourage new and returning students to check out our private study rooms, group study areas, extensive physical media collection, course reserves, digital database access, and calendar of social events! If you have any questions, come meet us at the circulation desk, we’d be more than happy to help.

Bring your own craft to North Hall Library on Wednesday, August 19th, from 12 pm to 1 pm, to join us for a craft-and-chat! We will also be hosting a craft supply swap for anyone interested. Please bring any supplies (yarn, markers, paper, fabric, etc) you’d like to donate, but don’t worry if you don’t have any. The supply swap is free for all, regardless of donation.
