Healthcare career training is coming to Mansfield. 🩺

Beginning in fall 2026, Commonwealth University Workforce Development will launch new Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) and Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) programs at the Mansfield campus — creating fast, accessible pathways into high-demand healthcare careers for students and community members across the Northern Tier.

With nationally recognized certifications, hands-on training, and strong workforce outcomes already being seen through employer-sponsored cohorts, these programs are designed to help students step into meaningful careers quickly while helping address regional healthcare workforce shortages.

🎓 Mansfield Grads: The Big Day is Almost Here! 🎓

We are so proud of the Class of 2026! As you prepare to cross the stage at Straughn Auditorium, here is everything your family and friends need to know to celebrate your achievement.

🗓️ Ceremony Schedule – Saturday, May 16, 2026
Doors open one hour before each ceremony.

1:00 p.m. – Doctoral and Graduate Students; College of Health, Science and Technology; Zeigler College of Business; and Associate Degrees.

4:00 p.m. – College of Arts, Humanities, Education and Social Sciences.

💻 Can’t Make it to Straughn Auditorium?

We mourn the passing of a true Mansfield icon, John E. “Jiggs” McHale.

A 1958 graduate, Jiggs spent nearly 70 years as the heartbeat of Mansfield pride. From commissioning secret murals to leading the Homecoming Parade as Grand Marshal, he embodied the "Mountaineer Spirit" like no one else. For Jiggs, Mansfield was the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow—but for us, the pot of gold was always Jiggs.

From forensic science and sustainability research to live student-composed music and visual art, Mounties spent the afternoon sharing the projects, ideas and passions that make the Mansfield community so special. 💛
