📚 Joint Speaker Series 2026 - Special June Session!

Join us at COA - Dare for a special joint speaker series event featuring author Andrew Lawler, while he discusses his book, "A Perfect Frenzy".

At the start of the American Revolution, two groups of Americans squared off against one another, both claiming to fight for liberty. Come learn about the Scottish earl and his Black allies who threatened to undo patriot plans to declare independence. Based on a new book that The New York Times calls "absorbing," this talk will forever change your view of the conflict that birthed the nation. Just in time for the 250th anniversary of American independence, "A Perfect Frenzy" casts the nation's founding in a whole new light.

📅 Friday, June 19
⏰ Doors open at 6 p.m.
📍 COA–Dare Veterans’ Hall (DARA 110)

Presented in collaboration with The Friends of the Outer Banks History Center, COA’s Social Science Department, and Downtown Books.

or 252-473-2264 ext. 7016.
