My heart is so full from last weekend. I got to meet my niece for the first time, see my brother and sister, got to see some really good friends, and got to hang out with my momma 💕

Taking a step back from photography, editing, social media, and everything that goes with it, has created space that has allowed for something unexpected to happen to me! This experience has allowed me to fall in love with photography again, fall in love with editing, and has given me a new appreciation and love for my clients (and friends) 💕
I'm driven to create with what I capture. It's amazing to be able to show couples what you see even when they may not understand why you're having them do something (like kissing with your teeth in this couple's case 😉) - they had this down by the time we were taking photos for their wedding 😂
Burnout sucks, but what comes after is better than a breath of fresh air ✨

I've been working on living a more intentional life. Focusing on physical, mental, relationships, spiritual, passions, and growth. To become a better version of myself I've had to take a huge step back and realize what I want from life and why I'm doing the things I'm doing.
I've learned it's okay to step away from relationships that no longer help you grow. It's okay to unfollow those who don't inspire you. You should understand what is draining your energy and where you get your energy. Lastly, figuring out your 'why'. Understanding your why exercises your mental strength and gets you through your toughest blockers.
I've taken a step away from social media to focus on me. I'll be posting here and there more photos that bring me true joy rather than being on a schedule and pushing out content.
Thank you Lord for growing me closer to You and taking me down Your path.

Stepping back and taking a deep breath is okay. You don't need to take on everything at once. It's okay if you're overwhelmed temporarily, but don't let that consume you. These are what I've been repeating to myself recently. I've had so much happiness in my life that I don't want it to be overshadowed by temporary chaos.
My heart is happy and I hope to share more as I come out of the little cave I've built.
Thank you Lord for the smiles you've brought me.

Hey guys! I've been extremely MIA for quite a while now because life's been a bit of a roller coaster.
I decided to call off my wedding for the benefit of both of us. I wasn't feeling like myself and I wasn't becoming the person I wanted to be. I was going in the opposite direction actually. I was scared to call off the wedding though because deposits were put down, people were helping plan for it, and things were just full steam ahead.
What I've learned is that it's okay to take a step back and reevaluate if things aren't going in the direction you're comfortable with. No ones going to look down on you if you've called it off, rather I've received a lot of encouraging words saying how brave I was.
Now I'm taking the time to focus on who I want to be and who God wants me to be. I'm trying to make God my number one priority in life. I'm putting my trust FULLY in Him which is super scary but incredibly rewarding. I'm learning to love the life God has given me so far and wow it's a beautiful one. Lastly, God is helping me heal. I am healing from old and fresh wounds. Wounds that only He could possibly heal. He is our good and precious Father and I'm letting Him do the heavy lifting.
I'm so thankful for my friends and family who have been so supportive and loving towards me. God truly blessed me putting you into my life. If I haven't thanked you personally know I hold you so deeply in my heart. ❤
Thank you Lord for always being present in my life.

Finally heading back to NC after about 10 days in OH/PA. It was sooo good seeing family and friends but MAN IT WAS COLD! I'll take my 'slightly' warmer weather back 🌞❤

Not gonna lie, this wedding had THE BEST cupcakes I have ever had! 😍 They're from Lancaster Cupcake in PA so now every trip to eastern PA will involve a trip 🤤
