This afternoon, on February 18, 2026, the Minnesota State Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Dr. David Jones as the 11th permanent president of Southwest Minnesota State University. A public presentation will be held on Thursday, February 19 at 3:00pm in the SMSU Conference Center Upper Level. We congratulate Dr. Jones and welcome him to his permanent role as president of SMSU.
