The University of Tennessee Foundation is accepting applications for Assistant Director of Alumni Programming at UT Martin.

This position will play an important role in strengthening connections with UTM alumni near and far through alumni programs, regional engagement, volunteer leadership, Homecoming, reunions and other opportunities that bring the UT Martin community together.

If you’re a relationship-builder who enjoys developing programs, coordinating events and creating meaningful experiences for alumni, we’d love for you to learn more.

Last month, we asked UT Martin alumni in education to raise their hands as Proud Skyhawk Teachers—and Skyhawks answered.

Together, 153 Proud Skyhawks represent nearly 2,400 years of experience in education, with an average of 15.7 years each. Among those recognized, 51 have served 20 years or more, 22 have served 30 years or more, and six have served 40 years or more.

Their impact reaches across nine states and 77 communities, representing 48 UT Martin graduating classes from 1963 to 2026.

From those just beginning their careers to Skyhawks with decades of experience, we are proud of the alumni who continue to help students learn, grow and succeed.

Building a career. Opening doors.

When Chloe Humphrey (’07) came to UT Martin, she planned to study finance. A conversation with a fellow Skyhawk at a career fair introduced her to public accounting—and helped set the course for the next two decades of her career.

Today, Chloe is a shareholder at CRS CPAs, serves on the UT Martin College of Business advisory board and helps recruit and mentor the next generation of Skyhawks.

Members of the Chancellor’s Roundtable, UTM Alumni Council, BAC, and Young Alumni Council gathered on campus yesterday for their combined meeting—a day centered on connection, conversation and a shared commitment to UT Martin.

The group also welcomed UT System President Randy Boyd, who shared remarks during the day’s program.

Thank you to each of our council and Roundtable members for giving your time, perspective and leadership to UT Martin. Your continued involvement helps strengthen our university and the entire Skyhawk community.

For some of our newest Skyhawks, one of their first sounds of Welcome Weekend was the UT Martin Marching Aviators. 🎺🧡💙

From welcoming freshmen to campus to filling game days with music and Skyhawk spirit, nearly 150 Marching Aviators help create the traditions that make UT Martin feel like home.

Now, it’s our turn to show up for them.
