What are they Skyhawk Aggie students doing this summer? Lyndsie Knox (Agribusiness Communications is the new Marketing & Communications intern for the NWTN Local Food Network. Thanks NWTNLFN for giving Lyndsie this high impact learning opportunity!

We would like to introduce our newest member member of the NWTN Local Food Network! Everyone welcome our new Marketing and Communications Intern, Lyndsie Knox!

At the heart of her work, Lyndsie has a deep appreciation for the role farmers and food producers play in their local communities. Lyndsie hopes to use her passion for storytelling to connect people with the world around them, communicating these important contributions in ways that are engaging, accessible, and meaningful to everyday audiences.

One thing that is clear to Lyndsie is the vital role our physical health plays in supporting a healthy mind. Since a healthy body begins with a healthy diet, she is eager to apply what she has learned so far about the way people think and how people behave to make fresh, locally produced food more accessible to everybody here in Northwest Tennessee.

NWTNLFN Co-Director, Caroline Ideus, was one of the non-students on the trip. Here she is helping Maasai “learners” play the Farm Food Safety game developed by a couple of UTM in Kenya scholars, Rita Johnson & Amy Wiles. NWTNLFN also works with the Farm2School program at Sharon School.
