Preamble: We, the members of the National Association of Black Journalists, believing that Black journalists nationwide should bind themselves together in an effort to increase Black employment in the media, to increase the number of Blacks in management positions, to encourage and educate young Blacks interested in pursuing a journalism career, and to monitor and sensitize all media to racism, do

enact and establish this Constitution for the governance of our members. The National Association of Black Journalists is an organization for students who have a desire to be journalists, writers, etc. This organization is not limited to only communications majors, therefore we encourage students from all areas to come and join our group. NABJ has hosted several events on campus and has taken several media-related field trips. We strive to be an active organization that makes a difference.
