Join us and Just Call Granny Ministry on June 8, 2026, from 12 PM – 1 PM at NCI for the June Conversations and Coffee with Southern Area Agency On Aging!

Learn about the many services available to support older adults, individuals with disabilities, and their caregivers. Discover valuable community resources including transportation assistance, home-delivered meals, caregiver support, health and wellness programs, insurance counseling, and more. This session will provide helpful information designed to promote independence, well-being, and quality of life for members of our community.

Excited to be a part of such a great event for the community!

We are excited to welcome New College Institute (soon to be West Piedmont Higher Education Center) as the stage sponsor for the 18th Annual Smith River Fest taking place on Saturday, August 22. The stage will have entertainment all day including a DJ, magic show and band. Smith River Fest is presented by Sovah Health - Martinsville and is a free event to attend.

🎓 Congratulations to the Longwood University at New College Institute Class of 2026!

We are proud to celebrate the achievements of our 14 graduates who recently crossed the stage at Longwood University's commencement ceremony. Through dedication, perseverance, and a passion for education, these graduates have earned degrees that will make a lasting impact in classrooms and communities across our region.

Among the graduates, 12 earned their Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching, and two earned their Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.

Your hard work and commitment to shaping future generations inspire us all. We can’t wait to see the difference you make. Congratulations, Class of 2026! 🎉🍎

We are so excited for the TGIF Concert Series in Uptown Martinsville to come to NCI (soon to be West Piedmont Higher Education Center) this summer!

The Martinsville Henry County Rotary Club is excited to announce a new venue for TGIF this year! We will be on the Outdoor Plaza at New College Institute (soon to be West Piedmont Higher Education Center). That means a great new venue, special perks for our nightly sponsors, and access to some of the best restrooms in town! We hope you will join us for our summer concert series.

📚✨ This month, NCI and Connect Health + Wellness staff had the joy of visiting Patrick County Public Schools kindergarten classrooms to share the love of reading!

Through NCI's Reading for Life program, staff and volunteers spent time reading with students and delivering books for each child to take home—helping build excitement around reading both in the classroom and at home. ❤️ 📖

This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce's Education Foundation, whose commitment helps ensure young learners have access to books of their own.

Moments like these remind us how powerful a simple story can be in shaping a child’s future. 🌟
