Hello Yuba College Students. I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather so far. Just so you know, we will be closed not only on May 25th Memorial Day, and we'll be closed that entire week the 26th-29th. If you have any books to return, please feel free to use the blue book drop box located by the soccer field which is in the same area as the Athletics Building 1200.

DO NOT USE THE BLUE DROP BOX FOR CHROMEBOOKS/LAPTOPS HOTSPOTS OR OTHER TECHNOLOGY. Just books only please.

UPDATE APPLICAIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

Been thinking about applying for a student job in the Fall 2026 semester? Today is the last day to apply for the Part-Time Library Assistant at the Marysville Campus for the Fall 2026 Semester.
Read on to learn more.

Main responsibilities:

Assist patrons with locating materials and resources.

Helping patrons with computer or printer issues.

Check materials in and out using our computer system

Organize shelves and maintain a welcoming space

Basic clerical duties such as answering the telephone and making library research appointments.

What we’re looking for:

Currently enrolled college student. Must be enrolled in 6 or more units.

Strong communication and customer service skills

Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

Comfortable with basic computer systems

Need to take a study break? Browse new library books and movies for Asian Pacific American Heritage month!

The library is celebrating Asian Pacific American heritage month. Stop into the library and borrow a book, borrow a DVD or watch a movie using the Kanopy library databases. Users must create a canopy account which is free for Yuba College students.

Students now have access to Libby, a library app that allows students access for audiobooks and ebooks for free. Creating a Libby Account is quick and easy to make. Just download the app, search for Yuba College, and sign in with your student ID and password-then you're all set to enjoy thousands of great titles anytime, anywhere.

Today at the library gallery there will be a reception from 11-1pm with food and refreshments. Here is another sneak peak of the student art exhibit; the exhibit has different types of art from sculpture, photography, and painting.

This is a friendly reminder that all library materials are due May 18th, which is the end of the spring semester. We do have a book drop by the soccer field for books. For Chromebooks, Laptops and Hotspots, DO NOT use the book drop; please come into the library and return them inside.

Technology checkout for the summer classes doesn’t start until June 8th. For more information, please come to the Yuba College Marysville library.

On April 28, 2026 one of our library staff, Amy Bush received the Employee Recognition Award. She is one of adjunct librarians who meets with students in person and online. She has also designed research instructional modules through canvas. She helps maintain both digital and physical library resources. We appreciate the hard work she does for Yuba College students everyday.
