This week our sweet Lauren shared why she loves Tri Sigma,

“I chose Tri Sigma because when I went through COR I instantly clicked with all the girls I met. When I officially joined the chapter all the girls welcomed me with open arms and it immediately felt like home. In my short time here I’ve met so many lifelong friends that I wouldn’t trade for the world. It’s also given me the opportunity to meet so many friends from other chapters and become more involved around my community. Tri Sigma has pushed me to grow as a person and become a better friend and sister. Joining Sigma was the best decision I made for myself.”

We LOVE Lauren and can’t wait to continue growing alongside her through Tri Sigma!💜

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!!!

In honor of today and Women’s History Month, we reached out to an alumni, Emily, to talk about how the sisterhood of Tri Sigma has positively impacted her life! Take a couple minutes to read about her story!

Emily Wormsley Greene attended NWMSU, and was in MC ‘67. She held several positions throughout her time in Tri Sigma, including Chapter Treasurer and President! Here is what Emily told us about the impact of our sisterhood on her life,

“Alpha Epsilon helped me develop into someone who learned to live with many women of varied interests and personalities. We do not live life in a bubble so we must learn many people skills.

My leadership abilities were enhanced by my many opportunities to work for Sigmas on NWMSU campus and to work with my sisters in Alpha Epsilon.

The sisterhood positively enhanced my life by me staying in touch with many sisters after graduation. I have hosted three reunions with my chapter at my home in 2018 , 2020, and 2023. I will be hosting the fourth one October 10-11, 2025. It also has opened doors with new acquaintances that I learn are Sigma Sigma Sigma members from other chapters. It has been wonderful.”

We are so happy that we share a love for our sisterhood with Emily, and are so proud to have such strong and compassionate women representing Tri Sigma!!

This weeks is with our sweet Jordan!!!💝🐆🪩

“I chose to go Sigma because going through COR, I felt that every single girl I talked to, made me feel heard and welcomed. It was a home that I felt comfortable being my true self. I felt that girls in the chapter wore their heart on their sleeve and were so genuine. After joining, I have felt supported, inspired, and motivated by my sisters ever since I joined. These girls support each other in academics, person growth, and leadership. Tri Sigma has given me my lifelong friendships that mean the world to me. Joining this sorority has allowed me to grow as a person in so many ways that I never imagined. It has pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me feel more confident with myself. It has given me many opportunities with being more social and more active in the sorority. Being apart of Sigma has changed my life for the better.”

We are so happy to call Jordan our sister and are so thankful for her joyful presence each and every day!!!

This week’s is with our wonderful chapter president Julianna!! 💐🫶🏻

“I initially chose Sigma because I felt a connection to our philanthropies, and the sisterhood felt like a place where I could breathe and be myself. What motivates me to stay in Sigma are the amazing, inspirational people I’m surrounded by. They notice and appreciate the traits about me that I sometimes forget to appreciate, and they are there to lift me up when I can’t do it by myself. How lucky am I to have been able to share and relish the wonderful experience of this sisterhood!”

We are so grateful for the impact Julianna has made on our chapter and love having the ability to grow alongside her!! 💗

During the week of March 24th-28th we will be hosting a series of events in memory of our sister Karen Hawkins. To hear her story and take action, we welcome and encourage our NWMSU community to attend our events! Karen’s story won’t be forgotten, and our memorial week only helps to carry on her legacy . 💜

The happiest place in Maryville!!👑💗🏰

Yesterday we had the joy of hosting our first fundraising event of the year, while getting a chance to meet the little princesses and princes of Maryville! We had such a wonderful time at this event and want to thank our fundraising chair, Alyssa Beerends, for making it a possibility!! We are so grateful for not only Alyssa, but for our amazing princesses & sisters who volunteered to support the event!!

We are so excited to continue hosting this event for many years to come, and are so thankful for our wonderful community!💗💐🏰
