The Maryville College Scots Science Scholars program includes a three week summer bridge program prior to the beginning of the student's first year. Participants receive extra preparation, early close faculty contact, mentoring from upper level STEM students, exposure to research, and a supportive, cohesive peer group. In addition, S3 members will become visible role models and ambassadors for the

math and science programs at Maryville College. A stipend of $1150 and free room and board is offered for participation in the bridge program. Participants will also receive a scholarship of up to $4000 annually. This material is based upon work supported by the National Science Foundation under Grant Number 1161297

This weekend, several of our STEM students will be demonstrating the liberal arts lifestyle by working with the production of "Grease." S3 student Eden Carnes ('27) will be performing onstage in the role of Frenchy, Gianna Mantegna ('27) serves as the production's audio technician, Sparky Key ('29) on tenor saxophone, and Christian Goethert ('27) will be rocking it out with the bass guitar in the band!

MC students, faculty, and staff can attend for free and others can purchase their tickets on the Clayton Center for the Arts website!
