Congratulations to Wiam Kitar, Chantal Roux, and Yousra Tabite, undergraduate Data Science students, for securing Third Place in the Poster Presentation at Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges: Central Plains (CCSC-CP 2026) conducted at Drury University in Springfield, Missouri. I am glad to see their hard work, innovation, and teamwork recognized. Looking forward to their continued success.

Their project, “Design and Evaluation of an AI System for Multi-Dimensional Online Harm Detection,” focuses on detecting harmful content on social media—including hate speech, PII leaks, fake news, and age-restricted content—using various AI models. The team also developed a risk exposure formula to assess and quantify potential harm across multiple dimensions.

This team was also recognized with the Leadership & Team Impact Award for collaborative project leadership at the Celebration of Scholars at Northwest Missouri State University.
