Northwest Missouri State's Sigma Alpha A professional sorority organized to foster the study of agriculture among women by promoting scholarship, leadership, service, and fellowship.

The Alpha Beta Chapter of Sigma Alpha is a professional sorority at Northwest Missouri State University. The members of Sigma Alpha strive to promote all aspects of agriculture and to strengthen the bonds of friendship among them. Members work to achieve goals in scholarship, leadership, service, and to further the development of excellence in women pursuing careers in agriculture. The chapter's p

hilanthropy events include road side cleanup of Highway 71 and Ag In The Classroom, where members cooperate with local elementary students to introduce and further educate them in various aspects of agriculture. Members gain professional experience and numerous networking opportunities through monthly speakers, tours, workshops, and leadership conferences.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend - it’s a moment dedicated to reflecting on the sacrifice, courage, and selflessness of those who never made it home. Because of their sacrifice, we are able to experience freedoms that are often easy to take for granted.

To all who have lost loved ones in service to our nation, we remember with you today. And to those who have served, thank you. We are deeply grateful for your service and sacrifice🎖️🪖
