Psychology is the study of human behavior and mental processes. Our majors in Psychology, Neuroscience, Counseling, Developmental Psychology (including tracks for Child Trauma & Resilience, Community Psychology, and Relationships &Sexual Health) prepare students for a variety of exciting careers and graduate school opportunities.

Using ketamine in a scientific study of zebrafish has led to publication in a national neuroscience journal by three Maryville College Scots.

Influencers often employ manipulative tactics—such as stereotypes, fake giveaways, and misleading claims—that circumvent ad rules. Research shows current social media regulations don’t protect audiences from these “dark arts” of persuasion.

Rogue social media influencers are relying on gender stereotypes, bogus claims and deceptive editing to monetize their content and increase their following, a new study has found.
