FYC - New Student Orientation at the Starr County Campus was a huge success!

Our New Jags are officially ready to take on the upcoming summer semester with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to succeed.

A special thank you to all of our staff and departments for sharing valuable information and helping our students feel welcomed and prepared for their new journey. We also want to recognize our SGA for their continued dedication to the student body, from assisting with presentations and leading campus tours to serving pizza and handing out the official summer T-shirts. Your support and hard work are greatly appreciated!

Today we kicked off our First-Year Connection (FYC) – New Student Orientation.
Your college journey officially begins here, and we’re thrilled to be part of it.

And we’re not done yet. Tomorrow we continue with more FYC sessions, one at the Mid-Valley Campus and one at the Starr County Campus. If you’re attending, get ready to meet your support teams, explore campus resources, and start building the foundation for your success.

Yesterday we had the pleasure of welcoming students from high schools across the Mid‑Valley area as they stopped by Student Activities & Wellness for a quick presentation and introduction to student life at South Texas College.

These future scholars will be joining us for the Dual Enrollment Engineering Academy beginning June 1, and we’re excited to see their journey take off.

Our team had the opportunity to present on a topic that truly makes a difference Team Building!

A new chapter has officially closed at the Mid-Valley Campus — and we wrapped it up in the best way possible at our Brisket Potluck Luncheon. Jaguars came together one last time this semester to share food, laughter, memories, and that unmistakable Mid-Valley spirit that makes our campus feel like home.

Thank you to every student leader, work-study, and Jaguar who showed up, helped out, and made this semester one to remember. Your energy, dedication, and heart are what keep our community strong.
