2026 Valley Bowl Flag Football Tournament at UTRGV

10/17/2026

🌱 Jaguars United for a Greener RGV! 🌱

Our Student Leadership Academy and Student Government Association officers from all STC campuses came together this weekend to make a real impact at the 2026 Rio Reforestation. With teamwork, heart, and plenty of muddy gloves, our Jaguars helped contribute to this year’s 10,000‑tree planting goal, doing our part to restore native habitat and strengthen the future of our Valley.

From digging and planting to cheering each other on, our student leaders showed what service, unity, and Jaguar pride look like in action. 💚

Thank you to every SLA and SGA member who represented your campus with dedication and enthusiasm. Your commitment to environmental stewardship continues to inspire our community.

Hello Jaguars! 🐆 🐾

What a busy and productive day at Starr County Campus!

Today, our Student Government Association (SGA), alongside our Food Pantry, participated in the Hocus Pocus, Healthy Focus event. Our team had the opportunity to share valuable information about the services and resources our department offers to support our students and campus community.

Later in the day, SGA attended the public forum with Dr. Sandra Hansmann, a finalist for the position of Executive Vice President of Educational Programming and Student Achievement. This was a great opportunity to meet Dr. Hansmann, learn more about her vision, and hear her thoughts on supporting student success and achievement.

We are proud of our SGA members for staying engaged, representing our campus, and continuing to make a positive impact in our community!
