🚑🔥 STC’s Health Science Professions campus proudly hosted our EMS partners for the Trauma Regional Advisory Council - V EMS Simulation Competition, bringing together agencies from across the RGV for a simulation-based event focused on clinical excellence, teamwork and preparedness.

Using our advanced labs, manikins and simulation equipment, participants faced highly realistic emergency scenarios designed to test response, critical thinking, communication and lifesaving skills in fast-paced environments that reflect the realities of emergency care. 🩺🚨

Thank you for allowing us to host such an inspiring event. We were honored to welcome you to campus and celebrate the incredible work of those committed to saving lives. 💙

New Jaguars got a warm welcome at our Mid-Valley Campus during First Year Connection! 🐆✨

This orientation helps new students transition into college life by connecting them with valuable resources and services available. From tutoring and financial aid to campus life and student support, students had the opportunity to meet staff and learn everything they need to start their STC journey strong. 📚🙌

We can’t wait to see all they accomplish this semester! 💙💛

This afternoon, Rina Castillo and Dr. Alejo Salinas Jr. were sworn into the STC Board of Trustees among their family and friends during an Oath of Office ceremony.

This will be Castillo’s first six-year term and this is Salinas’ sixth term.

Both terms run through 2032 and both are eager to serve STC, its students, faculty and staff and the community to continue enhancing the accessibility and affordability of a higher education.

Meet Andrea Leal. Just one year after graduating high school, the recent South Texas College graduate is already in demand by employers for her knowledge in Artificial Intelligence for Manufacturing. 🤖 🔧

Leal was among six students from Advanced Manufacturing & Robotics - South Texas College AI in Manufacturing course who presented their final projects to regional partners and industry leaders.

Leal helped create a mobile app utilizing an AI model designed to predict when equipment might fail or before a breakdown occurs.
