Congratulations to Nina Isaacs! Nina served many meals over the years to the school children of Jackson County as an employee of Jackson County Schools. She is still making sure no one goes hungry, and JCRTA is so happy she has been recognized with this award.

The spring meeting of the Jackson County Retired Teachers Association will be held Friday, March 6, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Opal’s Restaurant in Annville. Note this is a different date than was stated in the fall newsletter. All Jackson County Retired Teachers are invited to attend.

Members of the Jackson County Teachers Association enjoyed their Christmas meeting and missed those who were unable to attend. Dora Moore from TRS (Teacher Retirement System) gave a VERY informative presentation on our insurance coverage and other available health benefits. It is well worth the time of teacher retirees to participate in our quarterly meetings. A legislative update will be given at our March meeting and we encourage all retirees to attend. A special thanks to our officers for their hard work in planning these events.

The Jackson County Retired Teachers Association enjoyed a picnic at Flat Lick Falls yesterday afternoon. The rain kept some from attending but we had a wonderful time together!
