We are excited to announce that Aaren Cadd will be joining us full-time next year!

Aaren Cadd holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Opera Performance and a strong interest in Pedagogy and Directing from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Vocal Performance from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky.

Aaren has performed professionally across the United States and internationally in Germany, Belgium, and Italy. Her notable roles include Nedda (I Pagliacci), Zweite Dame (Die Zauberflöte), Sorceress/Second Woman (Dido and Aeneas), Turandot (Turandot), and Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica).

Previously, Aaren served as Regional Manager, Director of Musical Theater, and lead Piano and Voice Instructor at The Music Academy DFW. In this role, she developed and led a variety of programs, including musical theater camps, homeschool music classes, early childhood music education, and free community master classes.

After returning to Murray, Kentucky, Aaren founded Cadd Music Studios—the first community-based music school in the city—serving students throughout West Kentucky and Tennessee. The studio employs teachers who hold or are pursuing music degrees from Murray State and surrounding universities, ensuring the highest standard of music education for all ages and skill levels. Cadd Music Studios is dedicated to fostering a positive, inspiring learning environment where every student can thrive.

Many of Aaren’s students have achieved remarkable success, including winning regional and district composition competitions, earning distinguished Solo and Ensemble ratings, gaining acceptance into performing arts magnet schools, and auditioning for professional theater companies such as Sesame Street Live.

In her teaching, Aaren emphasizes Pedagogy, Aural Skills, Sight Reading/Singing, Music Theory, and body alignment. She also provides expert coaching for audition repertoire, UIL and All-State/All-District music, musical theater and belting techniques, and more—empowering her students to grow as confident, well-rounded performers.

3 students performed and lots of clarinets were tried! All in all it was a great day!

Tomorrow, Milan will take some time to teach the rest of the WW studio.

Look at our very own Macy Jones!

Each week, TMEA is proud to highlight a member of our Higher Education Institutional Membership, students who represent the future of music education and performance in Tennessee.

Meet Macy Jones, Music Education student from Bethel University.
Macy Jones is a Music Education major at Bethel University with a passion for helping students find their voice. Since 2023, she has sung with the Bethel University Singers and also performs with the select a ca****la group Rendition. She is active in the Bethel Renaissance Theatre program as both a performer and Theatre Ambassador.

A Hendersonville High School alum, Macy gained early leadership experience in Chamber Choir and through directing and choreography roles in her theatre company. At Bethel, she continues developing her musicianship through advanced theory, piano, and instrumental methods coursework.
Her teaching experience includes assisting Children’s and Youth Choirs at First Baptist Church Milan, giving informal voice lessons, conducting in class, and even leading the Bethel University Singers for a week during Dr. Dunaway’s absence. Macy also serves as Treasurer for the Bethel Association of Music (BAM) and is active in the Student Tennessee Education Association. She plans to complete her student teaching in Spring 2027.

About her career path Macy says “I am pursuing a career in music because music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mom and dad are both musicians, so music has always been in my family. I have always loved being in choir. I love getting the opportunity to teach music! I love how all different kinds of harmonies mix and meld together to become one piece. Music has always been a passion of mine, and I pray it always will be. I can't imagine my life without music.”
