“When I was 19, I was rejected from the Fire Academy. Pat McAuliff took the time to sit down with me and my dad, show me a path forward, and encourage me to keep going.”

Today, alumnus Jonathan Boyd serves as a Fire Chief at the city of Allen and credits Pat’s personal investment in students as a key part of his journey. Jonathan’s story is just one example of the thousands of lives Pat has impacted through his dedication to fire service education and lifelong learning.

After 41 years of service as a founding member of the Collin College Board of Trustees, Dr. J. Robert “Bob” Collins is retiring. A resident of Farmersville, Dr. Collins served the college in numerous leadership capacities at Collin College, including chair of the Board of Trustees and chair of the Organization, Education, and Policy Committee.
