Linfield Theatre’s 106th season will kick off with the third installment of “The 24 Hour Plays,” a raucous event that puts students on the clock to make the best art they can — from inception of an idea through production of a performance. On Friday at 7:30 p.m. student playwrights, actors, directors and designers will gather to receive a writing prompt that challenges the students to write, rehearse and perform new plays in a 24–hour period. By 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, the theatre doors will open to audiences to come see what the students have created. A second performance will be offered at 9:30 p.m. that night. Admission is free and is first–come, first–served. Doors will open 30 minutes before show time. Some content may not be suitable for all audiences. “The 24 Hour Plays” is presented under a license and with the participation of The 24 Hour Plays®.
