Happy Holidays Delta Alumni! As Linfield offers their own “Finals Care Packages” during the fall, we’ve decided to pivot our large-scale end-of-term campaign to something a little more accessible to students and offer $5 holiday gift baskets!

Our fundraising goal for this semester is $500 in donations. So far, through our various fundraising campaigns, we’ve raised $180. During this last part of the semester we hope to raise the final $320 by selling Holiday Gift Baskets for the students on campus!

As you know from last semester, any donations from alumni during this time will give gift baskets to the active brothers, and your donation goes directly towards supporting the house as we complete projects and renovations.

Due to the outpouring of support for our fundraising project, there are a few things we have in the works to make the donation experience easier and more fulfilling.

We are putting together a fundraising website that will go live in February where you can see what projects are currently in the works for the house using your donation and where we can implement a better donation system that will be able to accept card transactions.

We can’t wait to see what the future holds with these projects, and are so grateful for your ongoing support. For further questions about the Fall fundraisers we are currently running, please email [email protected].

We are saddened by the news that one of our dearest alumni, Bruce Kubler ('79) has passed away this week.

For those who knew Bruce, they knew a long, winding and inimitably fun and funny phone conversation wasn't just a possibility, but an inevitability. In every sense of the words, he was a force of personality, a connector and a brother.

His work after graduation helped keep five decades worth of brothers connected over the phone and social media. Here at the Alumni Association, we have collected some of our favorite pictures of Brother Apple.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Linfield Homecoming is October 10-11th. I hope you have plans to attend the annual Delta Dinner on Friday night at the Michelbook Country Club. If you need a place to stay, a block of rooms has been reserved at the local Red Lion Inn for Delta Alumni and their partners. The last day you can access the special rate is Monday, September 8th. After that the $160/night fee will be at least $200/night. Procrastination could be costly. The local phone number is 503 472-1500. Ask for rooms reserved under "Linfield Homecoming Delta Fraternity Alumni".

You can register for the Michelbook dinner at Linfield's website or by calling the Alumni office at 503 883-2607. The cost is $42 per person.

To our incredible friends, alumni, and Linfield community: THANK YOU!

Last semester Delta Psi Delta Fraternity put together a fundraiser to support both Linfield students approaching finals and the ongoing efforts to repair the Delta house. At the conclusion of the fundraiser, we had received over $1,100 in donations, exceeding our initial goal of $1000. We would like to give a special shout-out to Delta Alumni Cameron Topham, who donated a basket to each of the 18 brothers.

Thanks to the support of our amazing community, we have been able to continue our work on the showers and are set to complete the project at the start of this coming semester!

The outpouring of support from parents, alumni, and students for this project has been completely unprecedented, and we will be renewing the project this Fall. Several parents have expressed gratitude for the ability to send their students a care package, so we hope to make some improvements to the final product and deliver something even better this December.

Look out for an email, post, or flyer as finals week approaches outlining the new care packages, how to donate, and where your donation will go. Thank you again for all the love you have given to this project, we look forward to developing this into a longstanding option for parents to support their students!
