This week's spotlight is Theater Lighting and Learning, a subgrant project from last year's funding cycle. This project provided lighting for the Penny Theater Group, now located in Cussewago Square. These pictures show the new lighting manual being created by Allegheny College students! Thanks to the Penny Smith Theater for working with us!

Did you know that the Community Impact Hub of Allegheny College awarded $79,000 in subgrants to support 10 nonprofit organizations or government agencies over the past year? Through Hub-organized, paid internships for Allegheny students, over 6,300 hours in research went towards supporting local nonprofits and government agencies. Projects focused on environmental causes, economic development, education, arts and culture, and public health. This week's highlight is Pedal Power, a summer Community-Based Research (CBR) project where we partnered with the Family Children & Community Association. They did great work speading awareness and accessibility to safe biking. Thanks to our community partners, faculty, and students who brought this project to life!

On Wednesday, we were thrilled to host Jordan Pallitto and Travis Deschamps of The Hill Group, Inc. for part 2 of our Strategic Planning workshop! We had members from over a dozen different local organizations attend the workshop and take part in hands-on strategic planning work. Thanks to all who took part!
