The steps for setting up the dorm room phones for retrieving phone messages are as follows:
1) Press 'phonemail' button
2) When initially prompted for password, press in '111' (this will occur the first time you go into the phonemail system.
3) Follow voice instructions for resetting the password to something unique -- a voice mail login of your choice, but tell your roommate(s) !
4) You should be set to check your voice messages!
